The Test Bench for Pyrometer and Potentiometer is used for testing and calibrating triple indicators, position transmitters and collective pitch indicators. Jet pipe temperature, oil pressure and oil temperature monitoring are critical for safe turbine engine operation, and this bench supports accuracy, pointer display, balance and sensitivity tests on the associated indicators. It uses a galvanometer, decade resistance box, master indicator, temperature indicator, voltage source and current source as testing and measuring units. The front panel is recessed 150mm from the front face of the bench.
