The Test Bench for Directional Gyro (electrically operated) is specially designed for testing, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis or rectification of the SFIM Gyro Magnetic Compass 512-3. It includes 115V 400Hz 3-phase power supplies, a Scorsby-type gyro test table, an orienting and tilting table, a digital chronometer, special interface electronics for the outputs of the remote-mounted gyro head, and a panel for simulated inputs to the remote-mounted gyro head including synchros. The bench supports testing of electrical gyro horizon, electrical gyro magnetic compass, directional gyro and gyro systems.
