Reel earthing system for safely discharging fuel bowser static
Static electricity is an imbalance of electric charges within or on the surface of any material. A fuel bowser refuels Heavy Earth Moving Equipment and automobiles operating in mines or remote areas. During movement of these fuel bowsers carrying diesel, or while transferring fuel, friction between the splashing diesel and the inner surface of the container generates static electricity, which can ignite, create fire or explode if the vessel or vehicle isn’t properly grounded. The Static Electricity Discharge reel earthing system (SDS-01) by Southern Electronics is used to discharge the static electricity generated from the fuel bowser, and is designed per the Safe Operating Procedures framed by PESO and the safety standards of DGMS for prevention against fire.
