Resistive Load Bank
28V DC load bank for PTAE-7 alternator testing
The Resistive Load Bank is designed specifically for testing alternators for PTAE-7. It is housed in a custom-built, high-strength welded steel frame with removable steel panels on all sides for maintenance access. The bank can load up to 45 amps of 28V DC. A DC voltmeter and ammeters are used for maintaining voltage and current. EUREKA cupro-nickel resistance wire is used, with a temperature coefficient of 0–200°C per °C of 0.00004 and a nominal specific resistance at 20°C of 49 microohms per cm.
